Worry beads or Komboloi as they're known in Greek are used to pass time in Greek and Cypriot culture. Unlike the similar prayer beads used in many religious traditions, worry beads have no religious or ceremonial purpose.
Worry beads have several uses in Greek culture, including:
- relaxation, enjoyment, and generally passing the time
- as an amulet, to guard against bad luck
- used by people who wish to limit smoking

Please note:
We're based in Canada. Shipments sent from outside the U.S. may be subject to additional import duties or customs fees determined by U.S. border authorities. Effective August 29, 2025, the U.S. has suspended the duty-free de minimis threshold for all postal shipments from all countries, including Canada (where we are based). This means all items shipped via postal services may now be subject to import duties, regardless of value. These charges (if any) are the responsibility of the customer and must be paid upon receipt of the shipment, not by the sender or business shipping the product.
