Easy Homemade Greek Recipe - Phyllo Wrapped Feta


Ingredients

  • 8 oz feta cheese

  • 2 sheets of phyllo dough, thawed

  • Olive Oil for brushing phyllo

  • Honey (as much as you want)

  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano (optional)

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper (optional)

  • Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Add 3 Tablespoons olive oil to frying pan, and set at medium-low.

  2. Unroll the phyllo dough and cover it with a damp towel to prevent it from drying out.

  3. Take one sheet of phyllo dough and brush it lightly with olive oil. Place another sheet on top and brush it with olive oil again.

  4. Place a piece of feta cheese in the middle of the phyllo sheets. Sprinkle with oregano and black pepper if desired.

  5. Fold the sides of the phyllo over the feta, then roll it up tightly to form a parcel.

  6. Place the wrapped feta on the frying pan.

  7. Flip until golden brown and crispy on all sides.

  8. Remove from pan, drizzle honey and sesame seeds.

  9. Let cool or dig in.
